The Bitkom eIDAS Summit is one of the most important conferences on practical use of trust services in the private sector and public administration in accordance with EU Regulation 910/2014 on electronic identification and trust services – eIDAS.
The 2025 edition of the Bitkom eIDAS Summit is dedicated to the question of how companies and administrations can use digital identities and trust services to make paper-based processes efficient and secure. The demand for digital services is growing in both the private and business sectors, with user-friendly yet secure and confidential solutions becoming increasingly important.
A key aspect is the use of the eIDAS Regulation, which enables the cross-border, legally valid exchange of digital documents such as offers, orders and contracts within the EU. With the help of electronic means of identification and trust services, companies benefit from more efficient processes, while the introduction of the EUDI Wallet offers citizens the opportunity to digitally identify themselves, store evidence and make use of administrative services across Europe. This opens up significant opportunities for businesses and public authorities.
On June 25, 2025, the eIDAS Summit will bring together experts from politics, business and technology to discuss current developments and practical solutions. The event offers a platform for interactive exchange on the future of digital trust services and identities.
Together with the Bitkom team, other leading trust services solution providers, solution integrators and pioneering customers the Namirial team is excited to prepare and execute the 9th edition of this unique summit series.
Klaus Fellner, MD Namirial Austria, and Jörg Lenz, Head of Marketing and Communication, will have a speaking slot at the event with the title “Reality Check 2025: Digital Identities, E-Signatures & EUDI Wallets – What You Need to Know Now for Your Projects”.
This session is primarily aimed at those responsible for projects in which the conclusive identification of users and/or the conclusive proof of declarations of intent plays a major role and who want to implement their processes as simply as possible for users and as compliantly as necessary.
The session will examine, among other things, the technical, regulatory, and political aspects of the following questions surrounding the eIDAS Regulation, updated in 2024, and its many implementing regulations, as well as their implementation into national law:
- What options do I have for using digital identities, electronic signatures, and seals today and in the future?
- Will there be new impetus for more intensive use of digital identities and electronic signatures at the national and/or European level in 2025?
- What can I expect from the digital wallets for European Digital Identities (EUDI Wallets) and when?
- What insights have been gained from the large-scale pilot projects for the EUDI Wallets?
- How and when will the approximately 40 implementing acts evolve?
- Why is technical standardization crucial for the development of new business models?
- What signals are there regarding the development of sustainable business models, and what role does attribute attestation play in this?
- What can we expect from the European Business Wallets – the wallets for legal entities?
As one of the few truly pan-European trust service providers with many global and multinational customers like Allianz, Daimler and Raiffeisen the Namirial Group has broad experience in today’s challenges of using trust services for signature workflow and digital onboarding processes orchestration and how to solve them.
